Horses, ponies among animals killed in barn fire

HANOVER TWP.  A 35-year-old pony used to help children learn to ride was one of the animals who died in a morning barn fire on Stahlheber Road Tuesday, July 27, according to family members.Three horses, two ponies and a goat were killed in the blaze that broke out shortly after 8 a.m. and destroyed a barn behind a home at 2471 Stahlheber Road. Fire officials say no people were injured.
